The Rencontres Arithmétiques have been organized annually since 1989 by the University of Caen Normandy. Their goal is to review a specific topic among those studied by members of the number theory team at the Nicolas Oresme Mathematics Laboratory (LMNO), by inviting leading specialists in the field. They are a key element of the dynamism of fundamental research in Caen and have enjoyed an international reputation for several years.

 La 34th edition of this conference will be held from June 3 to 5, 2026 in Caen. The topic of this year's edition is "p-adic and mod p aspects in Arithmetic Geometry".
